Zoos and Wildlife Parks in Belgium
As for zoos and animal parks in Belgium, one would probably recommend to visit Pairi Daiza in the region of Mons, since it became more and more famous with its yearly themes and diverse animations. Animals there evolve in quite fair and as open as possible space. You can see Chinese pandas there. Park of Planckendael is known for showing more babies animals which makes it cute. The animal park in the touristic region of Han sur Lesse is one you can drive thru with your car and observe animals like in their open natural habitat.
The WWF’s emblematic animal, the Giant Panda has become the symbol of “Endangered” animals. There are now only about 1,600 of them left, spread over 64 nature reserves in central China, in the mountains of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu. And there are very few of them in zoos. In Pairi Daiza, you can observe 3 giant pandas.
Want to make sure you don’t miss any of the animals? Prepare your tour of the park to the last detail using the map of Planckendael.
